I live right here in Caldwell and it was nice to know Astre Appliance was close by. they did a great job fixing my washer.

Horrible. Described our issue prior to making appointment. made it clear the issue was intermittent. Also provided model number and make etc.
Tech arrived and spent 10 minutes on floor looking for model number that I had in my hand, and another 10 minutes looking up the appliance online even telling me it was a discontinued model....Duhh. I again described issue and error codes while tech turned appliance on. Appliance had no issue during techs visit and he told me he cant do anything unless issue presents while he was onsite. He had to call his office to ask about error code (even though he had his ipad that he used to look up the model), and while on the phone took the liberty to discuss someone else's repair job! I asked if he could do some kind of testing, as I had read can be done on a website, and was told they don't do that. Then told me if I wanted him to guess it would cost $500+ bucks to replace a $225 part that would take 1/2 hour! Said they don't charge by the hour but go by what "the book" says! The mysterious book! (i've since learned some companies use this trick now because people can shop online for the parts, and the service companies are losing out on the markups) I called office and while talking to owner, I had to throw the tech out of my house because he challenged me while I was talking. Like a little kid. Tech was waaay to comfortable, impersonal, and indifferent. Owner suggested I pay the $100 fee for nothing and he would send a tech back for free within 3 months if I see the problem again..... So when my stove goes out on Thanksgiving, I'll be sure to give him a call.... Do yourself a favor, go for the extra dough and get a certified tech for the appliance you need repaired. They know their products and can diagnose issues without guessing. My teenager could have went on google and told me as much about the issue I had as this company did, and I could have paid him in cheetos....

Owner is rude and they don't know what they are doing.

Our fridge wasn't working properly, and with some research I thought the problem might be the evaporator fan motor. It was great to be able to pick up the phone, call these guys, find out they had the part I needed, drive over and buy it, install it, and have the fridge working all within a few hours.
