ON MARCH 7,SUNDAY, AT 2:45 pm I ENTERED THE sUPERMARKET AT WEST 96 STREET AND AMSTERDAM AVE IN MANHATTAN nyc TO GET AN EASY OFF PRODUCT WITH CERTIFICATES FROM THE COMPANY. the product DID NOT WORK. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE THEY REFUSED TO REDEEM IT FOR ANOTHER ONE. i WROTE TO THE COMPANY AND THEY GAVE ME TWO THREE DOLLAR CERTIFICATES TO OBTAIN ANOTHER ONE. THE CLERK REFUSED TO GIVE ME MORE THAN THREE DOLLARS CREDIT. tHE PRODUCT COST $4.95. wHEN i OBJECTED SHE CALLED A WOMAN WHO SAID SHE WES THE MANAGER, THE FINAL AUTHORTY. i GAVE HER THE TWO RECEIPTS AND SHE SAID THAT i COULD GET ONLY THREE DOLLARS CREDIT. tHEN i READ HER THE COUPON STATING THAT MULTIPLE COUPONS COULD BE USED TO BY THE PRODUCT SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD NOT ACCEPT THEM BECAUSE THE VALUE WAs $6 and the price was only $4.95. I sense a sense of hostility to Anglo Americans. I think most if not all workers are hispanic and a vast number speak no English. I suspect that you are hiring Illegal aliens off the books to save money but you are taking away jobs from unskilled, unemployed americans. I have never seen an African American or Anglo American employed in this store. YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED BUT ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS THE BOTTOM LINE.

Although small-ish it does have lots of items to choose from and a growing selection of organic food. Open late till 10:00 on weeknights!

This is a great little 'super'market. You can pretty much find anything you need, the hours are very good (open 'til 10pm), and there are some good finds: some organic produce and a good range of fruit; milk alternatives; meat that looks good (though I buy all my meat from the neighborhood butcher shop); all the household necessities you need at 9:45pm! I am grateful to have some place other than the very expensive, smaller, convenience stores near by.
