Associated Supermarket

Hate is too strong of a word....more of Disgusted! I've moved into this neighborhood about 3 years ago. I go to BJ'S but my little Latino seasonings and any other stuff I use to go here. On December 20th I go to buy my coquito products. There was a managers sign stating discount but did not indicate of limit. Long story short while at register the manager would not allow me to buy but so much. Coquito (like eggnog) is a tradition for latin Christmas. How do you not supply your store with enough and two why was the manager concerned and questioned if I was buying anything else besides the coquito products to base your response on whether you'll allow me to take more...?? I was so disgusted with the managers response that I left everything. I walked 2 blocks from Associated to Food Bazaar and I found out that everything was so much less!!! They had no limit and there was a HUGE difference in prices! Associated I will NEVER nor anyone in my family go into your store again. But I thank you, I hadn't realized how much I could save at the other supermarket. I realize you can't make everyone happy but I would think you knew how important certain items are during the holidays to your latin customers. I will NEVER enter your store again.

When I stepped into the store, I was amazed on how organized the store seemed to be. I liked the display of sandwiches, . The food prices were descent and not overpriced. The one thing I wish I had was to shorten the waiting time at the check out lane. For the meat lovers, you can get the best meat prices at this store. :)

This supermarket is looking pretty nice these days! It has a decent selection of some organic salad mixes, organic tofu, earth-friendly products diapers, wipes, Meyer's cleaning products, recycled paper products... (The diapers are above the meat section in the back of the store). The staff is friendly and if you live in the neighborhood, you can ask them to stock a product you are looking for.
