Artopolis Espresso

God. Awful. My mum and I decided to order some pastries here for my extended family who came in from all parts of Greece for the holidays. Beware if they tell you that they can ship the same day! We placed our order Monday morning, and after hearing nothing from them for three days, we called on Friday only to hear that it was not dropped off to be shipped until Thursday afternoon. They attempted to place the blame on us and the postal service even though one of their staff members told us the package was returned to them because they messed up on writing the address (a business who advertises to all parts of the US should know how to write an address to somewhere out of state). Further, they fail to communicate with us, and we have had to contact them each time. The worst is the fact that their supervisor is missing right before Christmas, so our $200+ is in limbo with us being told that "they'll be in touch soon."

We have ordered from here before, but after this terrible service, we will never order from Artopolis Espresso again. My family friends have also ordered the same amount of pastries from other Greek bakeries in the NYC area and have already received them. The fact that I ordered mine on December 14th and was told that they would come in by December 22nd at latest and still have no clue where our order is located is unacceptable. They haven't even given us a way to track the package because "the supervisor will call and give it to us." Too bad the supervisor is out. I would give zero stars if I could. One star is giving too much credit.

It's a fine place for a cup of coffee and a chat in the afternoon, and I hear the baked goods are delicious-- I've ordered them for work functions and gotten good feedback, but they don't have vegan options, so have not tried them personally.

I'm here almost daily! I've taken all of my guests here and everyone has loved it so far! The desserts are always perfect on the eyes in the little glass cooler, the chai latte is probably the best thing I've ever had, and the food (although it may take a little while because of their small work space) is a step above many cafes! The food runs a bit on the more expensive side but the taste and freshness makes it worth every penny. The staff is always available and have always been smiling and happy to help!

Waiting time is long - but worth it. Try to eggs omeletye in a crepe.

This cafe is conveniently located for Columbia students, however, they fail to be accommodating of students. There is one extremely rude waitress (can't say that for all because the cashier and other waitresses were kind) who told a friend and I to leave bc we had only ordered coffee. We were also told that there was no wifi (though I see other users mentioning that there is). Wish this was a space that was more welcoming of their immediate demographic (students!) bc that would be the right way to run a business.
