I walk with our dogs at the park at least once day. Occasionally, a local drunk will relieve himself just inside the entrance in plain view of passers-by. Otherwise it's been reasonably safe, even at dusk. I added an extra star because the groundskeepers have increased their efforts in the park's upkeep.

It's a great park to walk your dog. It is clean for a urban park and if you see trash while you're there pitch in.
