Top notch food, atmosphere and service. A Hoboken must try.

Have to admit one of the best places to have brunch, their crab or chicken salad sadwhich is fresh and can be gobbled up in 4 minutes hungry or not. Great seating outside or inside but i believe they stopped doing half off sandwhiches in the morning which used to be great for breakfast, cant blame them for that as the area is blooming and probably the rent is going up as well. If you are around the area do not hesitate to stop by and have a bit.

Love their food. BYOB is the best. This spot is a little hidden, off the beaten path of Washington for a quieter, more intimate setting.

I keep trying to give it a chance and then remember why I didn't like it in the first place once I get there.

The food is way overpriced. The atmosphere. Blah and way too dark. I think there is a reason why you can't see the food. The service is also. Eh.

First of all the area where we were sat was extremely cold. It was by the door and window. I suggested that they have a space heater because if it's under one setting/thermostat the rest of the restaurant will be hot. By having a space heater in the coldest section you won't be over heating anyone else. Their excuse was, it's an old place and the heating system doesn't work well. And I could hear them talking about my complaint and not in a nice way.

Then my food had a hair in it. I know it wasn't mine cause my hair was pulled back when I arrived and the hair was curly. Mine is straight. We also had to ask for parmesan cheese with the pasta. That should be offered right away.

I'm not a big fan and continue not to be. I feel like you get more for what you pay for at other restaurants in the area. I just have to remember why we don't go there after. I will re-read my review. I won't say who their competitor is that I throughly enjoyed the food and service but it was near church square park. I'd rather go there any day.

I can't review the restaurant because I wasn't able to keep my reservations. BUT I will say the hostess who answered the phone today (1/28/15) just hung up the phone when I was speaking while I expressed how I was hoping they would be able to suggest a parking garage in the area since I wasn't familiar with Hoboken. Mid sentence no less? A reputable restaurant has knowledgeable staff and top notch customer service. I was courteous enough to call to cancel my reservations... Just RUDE. Probably won't go to the restaurant on principle alone.
