My husband and I stay here as often as we can on the weekend (apartment hunting); but today was uncomfortable. I had to call for anther room due to no A/C in the 1st room after a late night. Lacks professional staff and dining area is Tight. No Icebox nor microwave. Not truly worth the price they state is 'Discounted'. I could go on, but I'll stop here.

I have to say this place is perfect for living around EWR airport. I actually traveled to NYC for a week and I lived here before leaving to go to the airport. About 10 minutes to the airport. The best part is the room. I ordered a two bed room with 65 bucks a night. It was very big, clean, equipped with 50" TV and AC.

It's in a rough neighborhood. The front desk has the same sort of glass in front of it that is normally reserved for box offices and bank tellers. The lock on our room was broken, so we shoved a couch up against the door. The room smelled of old smoke. We encountered no trouble but definitely did not feel terribly comfortable.

For the price, this is a fine choice. The trip into NYC by public transit is lengthy and prone to delays, so plan accordingly. The area does have a certain atmosphere of... sketchiness, especially at night, but the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The room was relatively spacious. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but not a huge complaint. All in all, you could do worse than this place.

The Hotel is in a less than ideal part of town, but the staff seen to have things under control. The rooms are clean, but a little run down. The beds are comfortable. I would consider staying here again. If you are using transit, plan on an hour at least to NYC.
