The whole team is great. Buying sod as well as enough plants to fill our backyard (also worked with them for our front yard last year). Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and patient. They drew up a bunch of different options and answered every question we had. Great place, good selection and good prices.

On June 29th 2013 we ordered 3 Skip Laurel bushes. We were persuaded to allow them to plant them for the guaranty, so we did. After a few weeks the bushes developed a nasty fungus and when we asked for a replacement they refused and said they would trim them back. The did eventually and then we had bushed 1/3 smaller then what we had paid for. We had wanted them replaced, but they said they were not dead so refused. Now one of the bushes is truly dead. We called and spoke to Gary who said to email pictures and a copy of the receipt. So we did. Over a week ago. When I hadnt heard back from them I called and got Gary on the phone. He was extremely nasty and when I told them I hadnt heard back from them to my email he just said we will get to it when they can without giving any time frame. We are on the list he said. Extremely rude and nasty. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place. They finally replaced the bush only after I posted this negative review...and now the replacement bush is half dead.

I ordered 15 arborvitaes from them - they were not delivering for 2 weeks while promising next day service. One tree died and it took me 5 months to persuade them getting it replaced per warranty. 5 years later one tree died and after many calls the owner Gary doesn't want to come and replace, as if he doesn't want my money anymore - of course I told him i will pay for the replacement. The owner's whole attitude as if he doesn't care for his clients - total a..hole.
I usually don't do reviews in general, but this time I realized I need to forewarn people from using American Nursery - there is nothing American about their service, it is a shame Gary can use name of the country with a service-oriented/customer-first economy in his business.

I ordered mulch on a Friday under the condition that it could be delivered on Saturday and the young lady who took my order said that would be ok. Saturday came, no mulch. Called Sunday morning and was told "nobody told me it could would be delivered on Saturday" but they would deliver Sunday sometime. Sunday came and went, no mulch. Called Monday and was told by the owner in so many words that no one had said I would get my mulch either of those days and basically called me a liar. I too had a few choice words for him and asked for a refund since they were not reliable and had already charged my card on Friday. I did get the refund, but what a hassle. WOULD NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN! NASTY OWNER!
