AMC Dine-in Theatres Essex Green 9

Slow service. Cold food. Stick dirty tables. Way too expensive. Waiters need training and to stop chatting. It seems no professional management is around.

They charge you $8 for popcorn. Enough said.
But honestly, the dine-in theater is AMC'S way of nickeling and diming customers.
If you bought movie tickets for four friends, expect to pay upwards of $70 dollars for food and drinks.
But why take my word for it? Just look up the menu and you'll see the true meaning of expensive.
And while the seats were serviceable, expect the waiters to be anything but.
Asking for a refill? Well, too bad you asked him/her when he/she had a lot on his/her mind.
Isn't it odd how a system designed to get as much money from moviegoers has some pretty incompetent waiters.
It's as inconvenient as canceling a transaction at eBay.
Trust me when I say you're better off driving all the way to East Hanover than to fund AMC's latest cash scheme.

The food was bleh and the service was not great. They were completely out of ALL draft beer and most bottled beer. Claimed it was due to the holiday weekend. However there is a fully stocked liquor store right next to the theater.

Food came with no utensils and no napkins. Used the call light, but after 10 minutes nobody showed up so we went and got our own napkins and utensils. Kind of tough to each mac and cheese without a utensil.

After about 30 minutes, someone came to ask what we needed. Uhm never mind.

This was my first time here and will be my last. I came here yesterday with my family to see a movie and it was okay to start with, but towards the middle I requested refills...NEVER came. The drinks come in a med size glass for 4.59...that's a lot of money to me. I felt better to know that we could atleast get a refill. Like I said, that never came. No napkins with your food, the prices are just too darn much...$8.00 dollars for a bucket of popcorn.

The worse was to come, well the movie came to an end and we never got our change. We had to exit the movie wait in the corridor, couldnn't find the server, clamor everywhere....just won't do it again. When they finally found our server, she did not apply the rewards number that I provided when she took our order. We had to wait another 10 minutes a so to have our bill adjusted again.

Needless to say.

Very nice theater, very comfy chairs, good food, nice screens, good view from all seats. A bit expensive and you have to be 18 or with an adult for most screens, and 21 for some screens.
