Despite coming highly recommended from Major carriers, the whole experience with All Points Shipping could have been written for a sad comedy.
Having paid weeks in advance, top dollar, for a move from Phil, Pa to Baltimore, MD, the company failed to show up in the morning and didn't show till 3 o'clock moving day.
The move which should have taken one-day to pack, move, and unpack, is in day-two, after 3 o'clock, and the movers haven't shown. The office in New Jersey doesn't answer the phone.
On moving day the moving team broke down and didn't notify their office till late mid-day.
The moving company had to have a truck go tow them. The movers showed up late afternoon with a Budget rental truck and no tools to disassemble things.
The supervisor drove around in circles as the two movers moved stuff to the lobby and stopped the truck when they had enough material to load.
The owner, John, indicated the move would be complete by the next morning because his moving team needed to go home and rest and head straight to Baltimore the following day - as of 3 pm, the next day, the movers still haven't arrived.
Numerous inconveniences, the Company makes every excuse in the world from bad cell phones with the movers to act-of-god.
Failed to recognize their deficiency and for the inconveniences; i.e., a day later, having to sleep on the floor in new apartment, no towels, etc.
For a one-bedroom, bachelor move, to a location less than three hours away and at a cost of more than $2,000 - I sincerely would not recommend this Company be retained.
