Can't there be a No Star Rating! Never Ever Shop at this Store, the sales team is great and so is the receptionist. Customer service is an absolute tragedy after they close the deal, it’s worse than a USED CAR SALESMAN! I have cancelled three days’ worth of meetings and had three entirely emotional and ruined days because I have been HOSTAGE in my own home waiting for deliveries. AJ waits until your time window begins to call you and tell you that their computers went out and the merchandise won't deliver. They do not look for same day solutions at all, all they do is tell you that they can't only deliver until the next day, they get your money and don't care about you as a customer that's for sure. Day 2 arrives and the technicians break a water pipe on my sink when installing the dishwasher, but it’s disguised so I won’t know they broke the pipe until after they leave, they bolt out of my apartment and claim they just couldn’t connect the dishwasher, leaving me to find the broken pipe. Then once again told that the AC delivery was delayed because someone didn’t get an email and they weren’t at work, and so now I have to sit on home for day 3. I was told it had been confirmed of an early day delivery for the A/C; 9A goes by, 10A goes by, and 11A is approaching. I call this AC company dispatch and am informed that my delivery would be between 11-2PM; not what I was told on Day 2 by AJ Madison. As a matter of fact HDS told me that they NEVER told AJ I would be an early delivery. In the end I wasted day 3 because I was ensured that the AC men specialized in installing A/Cs and wouldn’t be an issue. The AC guys come and they do not specialize in anything at all except looking at the AC and refusing to install it because of some supposed panel and work they can’t and/or are allowed to do. (Note: If they were specialized in this area you’d think they can do it, but they must’ve only been specialized in just putting an AC in a hole, which doesn’t require much specialty if you ask me.) I had to speak with 3-4 different managers over 3 days and nothing got resolved. They think refunding deliveries and installations is resolving something, but the only thing Molly, Rachel, and Pablo did was create an emotional three days. And remember that broken pipe, I had to fight to get them to do anything for the broken pipe because they tried to tell me the technician didn’t break it. FYI they removed my FaceBook Review and Blocked Me!

2/11/2016 - Update. They sold us a used and/or refurbished dishwasher and made us believe we paid for a new dishwasher. It's been two or three weeks and the dishwasher we purchased doesn't work. A technician from GE has been here twice and on his second visit he informs me that it's not a brand new dishwasher. Go Figure!

bought 4/5 things water filter says 2 per year 4 a year 40 dollars each,did not get new 18 month Warranty......the water problem sincw day ONE ,changed it after I lost 2000 dollars in food......call me and strighten this OUT....old white applances are better....fancy DONT PAY

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AJ MADISON. If something goes wrong, the hassle is not worth it and you will regret it. If I can give a negative 5 rating for their customer service, I would. I honestly question the validity of the positive customer service reviews. They have NOT changed or improved recently – it took us over 2 months to replace the dented door on a brand new fridge and in the end we chose to cut our losses by keeping the door in exchange for a discount because we couldn’t take the frustration of dealing with them anymore.

We recently renovated and ordered 3 AC units and 3 Bosch appliances from them. We were notified when the AC units were shipped that the model we ordered and paid for were not available, and we could either take the replacement model they offered or wait without a delivery date. To stay on schedule we took the replacement although now I am regretting it as I don't like the look of these units. However, the real customer service nightmare was with the new Bosch fridge, which was shipped with a damaged door, twice, and installed with the wrong side door swing. We were then told that a new door would be shipped to us, after which a technician would come install it, all within 10 days. That was back in August. It took about a month just to get the replacement door delivered, and only after many phone calls, emails and countless hours on the phone (on one of the calls I was told the door was sitting at their dock ready to ship, but it was still there 3 days later when I called for status, and a week later it still hadn't shipped!). Then we had to call Bosch ourselves just to confirm the technician appointment, which got rescheduled twice because the technician was running behind (this after we had waited all day for him) so that took another month and we’re now into mid-October. As we were rescheduling, we found out that the technician couldn’t change the door swing. That necessitated yet another call to AJ Madison’s customer service who then offered to send one of their own technicians. When we asked her why she didn’t send their technician when we first called instead of making us wait a month for the Bosch technician, she actually replied that she didn’t realize we had a new door?! Nevermind that she’s the one we had been talking to for the past 2 months!

The clincher was that, after waiting 2 months, when the Bosch technician opened up the box with the replacement door, a piece of the door was broken! I called AJ and asked them to either overnight a door and schedule the technician to come back that week, or to just come pick up the fridge and give me a refund. I’d rather pay more money somewhere else than to have to deal with AJ Madison another minute! Of course they didn’t want to do either, so finally we settled on getting a discount on the fridge. It’s not the best solution, but I just couldn’t deal with another 2 months of the whole process again. Now we have the dent on the door to remind us of our mistake and to never do business with AJ Madison ever again!

While I have had good experiences with AJ Madison, I recently had a terrible experience with the moving company they subcontracted to: FGO Logistics. FGO delivered an AJ Madison Viking range to my home in August and did serious damage to a floor during delivery. I have been attempting to get reimbursed for repairs every since (it's now mid-October). After sending extensive documentation and following up with numerous emails and phone calls, I got FGO to agree in writing to pay for the damage. That said, I have still not received a check and the promised check delivery date has come and gone.

When I first contacted AJ Madison about the problem with delivery of their product, they told me to work it out with FGO Logistics, even though I had not hired FGO directly. When I couldn't get satisfaction and complained to AJ Madison, they stepped in, and the delivery company agreed in writing to pay. When the payment didn't arrive, however, AJ Madison did not respond to my emails and was unwilling to cover the cost of the repair.

Since AJ Madison subcontracted to the delivery company, damage done during delivery is their responsibility. Instead of taking responsibility for hiringa company that did significant damage, they left the consumer to negotiate with a third party. This is not a consumer-friendly approach, and it has left me a very dissatisfied customer. I now have small claims cases pending against both FGO Logistics and AJ Madison. Although I liked the appliances I bought from AJ Madison, I would not buy from them again given their handling of the delivery issues.
