Arrogant staff. They act like they're doing you a favor.

We love all of their greek specialty food! Every time we go there we try to have something different and we never regret it! Their shrimp risotto is really good! The lamb is delicious too and the greek desserts... oh my!! Delicious!!

i used to come here often, before it was renovated... the prices were slightly pricey but not prohibitive. but a good place to bring a date and have some coffee, pastries, etc. food was always on the high end...

i went back today with the gf... i was hungry so i ordered chicken sandwich.. what a waste that was... i have never seen chicken sliced so thin! ever! i mean it was so thin it made my mothers thin chicken cutlets look like tbone steaks...i swear the chicken looked as thick as contruction paper, you know the one you used in kindergarten!

the food tasted good, but i cant help but think it could have been thicker - especially for the $8 price, plus $0.50 cents for the cheese... at least it came with a buttered up / mayo pasta... the average consumer can buy a pound of chicken breast for $1.99/lb - you need to throw more chicken in there.

mocha flavored coffee, $5.25...

ambiance is nice, and modern... service is so-so, on the slow side and i almost forgot how since the days of eros (former name) - the waitstaff doesn't take you payment, you must bring it up (of course no one told me this today - so i waited an extra five minutes until i remembered).

eros, eh, I mean after athens is good for a fancy quick bite after a movie, but be prepared to spend a few bucks for lots of flair and little substance.

- Terrible #47796
I went to After Athens last night and had a horrible experience. I knew it was going to be bad when the server, who seemed to be 15 years old, couldn't even remember the two specials he had to present, but instead read them off of a piece of paper. When ordering, I chose the Swordfish Svoulaki, only to be told by the waiter that it was not very good, and I should instead try the main swordfish dish. Why would a restaurant have something on the menu if they don't recommend it? The food took forever to come out, one person in our group never got his apetizer, and another received two dishes she hadn't ordered. The fried calamari came lukewarm. When we asked them to fix it, they simply took it back and threw it back in the frier, so when it came out it was a lot darker and tasted like greaseballs. They agreed to remove the bad calamari and the two dishes that were not ordered from the check. Finally, the check took about 15 minutes to come after we asked for it, and none of the items were removed. When prompted, they removed it. To top it off, throughout the entire time we were there (which you can tell was a loooong period of time) the waiter never came back to check on us, never offered us water (we had to ask for it), even though he was hanging out with his friends by the stairs, not doing anything.

The food quality was ok, but nothing to write home about. The swordfish was well cooked, and so were the octopuss and shrimp, but there are at least three other restaurants in the area that can cook much better lamb as well as other mediterranean dishes.

Overall, a waste of money and time. And yes, the greek techno music was uncalled for, and ruined their environment.
