AdvantageCare Physicians Urgent Care

I took my father here when he recently came down with an illness and was pleasantly surprised by the level of care from the staff and how quickly it took for a doctor to see him. It seems a little odd to review a hospital but as someone who has a fear of going to hospitals, I can easily recommend this place as their service is an A plus. No long wait period. Friendly and attentive staff. And good expert care. That's all you really want in your health care, isn't it?

how is this a urgent care center, when they dont even answer the phone. You're better off getting a hold of a rep at a hospital then at this location. what a joke!

I went in with a low grade fever and throat on fire chuggin' up wads of phlegm. The MD prescibed z-pac and gave me a note for work for only 1 day of rest. I explained to him that I work in an OR with patients and didn't want to expose my patient and co-workers to my illness and the phlegm issue. I asked if I could return if my condition persisted to get an extension for just 1 or 2 days more. The response was an outright"NO!!!! that's all you're gonna get". I 'll not return. My regular MD cares about people but I was too weak to drive there so I unfortunately chose Advantage Care; it's close to my house

4/20/2016 Dr. R. Patil and her office should be ashamed at how they treat geriatric patients. My grandmother is 90+ years old and has been waiting almost a month to receive her oxygen tank! Why?!?! Also, her blood sugar is extremely low- the doctor's response- tell her to stop testing so much. What??? If you care about your family, please choose someone else to oversee their health. The doctor never calls me back and the nursing staff half cares. Either way, after a month long battle, there is still no resolution. I'm reporting this medical office to the BBB (yes, naming everyone!) and to the NY Medical licensing board.

6/10/2016 Update from my 4/20 post......my grandma STILL DOES NOT HAVE HER OXYGEN TANK!!! Instead of calling them and getting nowhere, I've started to use their online website "email your doctor". I emailed Dr. Acerra (since Dr. Patil is trying to say its another doctors problem)- anyway emailed him on 5/25/16 with this message (Good Morning,
I spoke to Karen several times and last I heard from her (over 2 weeks ago), she was going to check with Apria as to why the rechargeable oxygen tank was on back order. She was supposed to have contacted me back with an answer and/or a solution. I am writing to advise that I haven't heard back from her yet. Please call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx to advise what is my grandmother suppose to do without the proper oxygen?! This has been pending for months already. If you love your families...don’t let them go to this place. I'm all the way in VA and my grandma is in NY...this place is convenient for her as all of her doctors are in one location...that’s why she stays with them.

That's ok, no more games with this center...NY state board of medicine here I come!!

I had the unfortunate experience of coming to this place on Staten Island.. Just when you think there could be nothing else BAD to talk about that island...! This facility is DANGEROUSLY BAD! the Doctors are the Sludges of the bottom of the barrel. The staff and nurses are people that were forced to find a job because they couldn't be housewives anymore. The reception in the Primary Care office.. is a FAT-GHETTO-LAZY-POORLY TRAINED-UNEDUCATED PIECE OF TURD!!!!!! Speaks as though she was raised in the ghetto I am sure of it! The staff throughout the facility are clueless.. there is NO Quality Service monitors through this place at all! If you want to KILL your Loved ones slowly.... BRING THEM TO THIS FACILITY!
