The man behind the counter, not sure if it was Adam, was very friendly and helpful, and reminded me of Santa Claus. His thick accent and amiable presence delighted by buzzed sensibilities. I wanted to buy vodka, to wit he warned, "Grey Goose, Svedka--is rat shits." He poured me a shot of Honey Vodka, a delicious polish swill. I promptly purchased the bottle, cheaply of course, and left the store wanting to take him home with me, to help me with my future alcohol purchases.
I will straddle my horse, grab the reins, and gallop to the shoppe in the near future.

I was really shocked to see any negative reviews about this place. We love Adam and his wife (though we don't see her as much anymore). Adam has been in business in the same location for as long as we can remember and we've been here since 1997. He used to run a photo shop.
Our experience with the wine shop has been very positive. Adam is always helpful and has made some great suggestions over the years. One of our new favorites is a bottle that Adam told us to buy. He said if we didn't love it he'd give us our money back. Well, we aren't asking for our money back. He was right.
Adam's Wines is a real delight to have in the neighborhood.

Adam is pompous, ALWAYS tries to upsell and his selection is really boring, typical stuff. He's still got 2007 roses for retail price, when he should be giving them away at this point. He's so unpleasantly pushy and abrasive, I've gone out of my way to not buy wine here. Which sucks as there isn't anything closer around. Not a fan.

Adam's has great selection and great owners. If you don't know exactly what you want when you walk in, Adam will be happy to help, chat, and give you a taste of wine.
