I personally met with Larry Ubell during a house inspection, and I must say that beside his professional skills and competence he is a very sympathetic person! He is extremely diligent, efficient, detail oriented and I can only highly recommend calling him if you are looking for the best in the business. Another time I had Matthew Barnett attending an inspection and not only did he manage to turn around a very thorough report in a timely manner for me to move forward with my transaction, but he took the time to call me to give me a quick summary and talk through the points. Larry was super friendly and totally knew his work. I followed him throughout the inspection and peppered him with a million questions and he patiently answered all my questions and gave me a real education about the house's mechanics. He was also available for follow up questions via the phone, which was greatly appreciated as I did have further questions later. His report was excellent. He was "accurate," knowledgable, friendly and professional. Exactly what we could have hoped for. Highly recommend.

I have sent many clients to him over the last 10 years in Manhattan and each one has been extremely satisfied with his inspections. Manhattan buildings are complicated. His deep knowledge and experience have given my clients the confidence to make the decision whether to move forward or not in their home purchase. Or have a seller rectify issues before closing.
I recently had him do a home inspection on Long Island for a home I was considering purchasing. He identified crucial issues and I was able to have the seller resolve them before moving forward. He is the only inspector I call on as he is always reliable, incredibly knowledgable, and fully accessible to discuss, answer questions, etc.

I have had Larry inspect a few houses over the years including the one I recently bought for which he also provided a post renovation inspection and report. I only wish I had engaged him during the renovation. He is super responsive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. He also is quite thorough and answered all types of questions I have ever thrown at him and, if need be, has researched others and gotten back to me.
