Great, well-constructed, and well-designed furniture, helpful staff. Wait for a sale, though-- they have them twice a year and they're well worth the wait!

This place is fraudulent. My wife and I purchased a desk in early March, stipulating that we did not want the floor sample because it was damaged. Malik Owens, the sales rep., promised that they had a new version in the back. And...they delivered the floor sample. So we sent it back because it was damaged. A week later they delivered another model, which was also damaged, so we sent it back. They then delivered...the floor sample--the very same one--which was still damaged, although you could see that someone had done some very hasty repair work on it. Malik, with whom I had spoken repeatedly throughout this process, directed me to the manager, who did not return three calls. After being ignored by management, I called Malik again, and he said--and I will never forget his words--'As far as I'm concerned, this is out of my hands.' So, now the manager will not return calls and the sales rep. refuses to take responsibility. I then proceeded to call this store every week for over a month, until finally I got through to the manager *in May* and he authorized a refund. In order to process this refund, however, he needed my wife's card, and she was at work, which meant that I would have to call the next day with her card number. Which I did, and, surprise surprise, the manager was not in, and he did not return my call. And he has not returned a single call since May. I have now called every week or two weeks since late spring. It is late October 2015; this interminable abnegation of responsibility has been going on since early March 2015. Here's my recommendation: go elsewhere. There are many people who are happy to take your money in this city, and some of them even offer decent furniture. Removing ABC from your shopping list will not reduce your choices; it will only reduce the headache of having to deal with irresponsible people.

I felt REALLY cheated when I found the EXACT same item for 75% less than what I was charged. I think they were laughing at me as I left the store. NEVER AGAIN. ask around first.

I purchased a very expensive carpet from them but couldn't pick it up that day. I picked it up a few days later and when I unrolled it at home, there was a line (or series of lines) across the entire carpet in a 5 inch band near the center. I called them to ask about it and they assured me it would come out. It's been months and the lines, despite rubbing and steaming, have not improved at all. I'm positive it the marks weren't there when I bought it, and my only guess is that they creased it between purchase and pick-up. I generally like the Manhattan location, but I won't ever be returning to the Bronx outlet. I urge everyone else to take care there as well.
