I brought my first car which was a 1998 Honda Civic DX to the Aamco on Queens Blvd in the Elmhurst Section of NY after reading numerous reviews from other customers and decided to see for myself if in fact the reviews were true or not. On my first experience with them, I immediately realized that this shop will be the only shop that I will go to have all my car repairs handled from that day on. Everyone in the shop are very professional. They are always very up front with their customers. They will tell u what needs to be done right away and what can wait. I've been to a couple of other shops before Aamco and the customer service as nowhere near professional and/or friendly as the guys in Aamco at this location. Other shops actually told me that I should junk my car instead of keep on fixing it, which I took offense to. Aamco will never do that or say anything close to that. From last July, I started bringing my 2011 Mazda 2 for routine maintenance and a couple of repairs, customer service remained the same as it did in the past. If I can rate it 100 stars, I definitely will. Bottom line is, everyone that needs their cars repaired or maintained should definitely bring their rides to Aamco on Queens Blvd in the Elmhurst Section of NY. My Mazda is Due for another oil change in July. Aamco on Queens Blvd, here I come. These guys are the best!!!

Horrible service. Needed a transmission rebuild so I called the store at 79-14 Queens Boulevard, Elmhurst, NY 11373. The person answering the phone was both as rude as he was ridiculous. My car is a 2007 and while I assured him I did not want an actual estimate over the phone I would like a ballpark figure for what it would cost to do a total rebuild of the transmission should it be required. [ simply to be prepared for the worst case scenario ] but he wouldn't/couldn't do that. He assured me that he could arrange a free tow providing the car needed a major repair. [ no word on what 'we' would do if the cost of the repairs turned out to be more the the eight year old car was worth! ] He would also look all over the car to see what else he could scavenge of the car. He called it an 'all points free check up' or something like that. Pulease Philip. Also, it's probably not such a bright idea to attempt to imitate your potential customers way of talking. Then again, your sales pitch was so weak and filled with such scam laced rhetoric, I don't think anybody's accusing you of being too bright!!

Great experience! I have a 2001 Acura TL with a check engine light on and couldn't pass inspection....it was such a headache. We brought it to the dealership who wanted to charge an arm and a leg which I knew was just them overcharging us for no reason! Aamco is in my opinion fair and straight forward. They did a thorough check for us and gave us a breakdown which is always helpful. The guys there are super sweet. They mostly dealt with my husband and he really knows cars so they talked it out together. This place does not have all the bells and whistles like the Acura dealership but I always leave the dealership with a headache and mad but not here. They always kept it on a schedule and if they couldn't they always contacted us in a timely matter. I trust them and would go back!

I had my first and last service at this location in queens on February 17, 2014 because my car needs to check for the engine light. They adjusted the belt and the engine light was still on so they told me to come back next time for the replacement of new solenoid set for Nissan Sentra 1.8S 2004. Then on February 19th, I went back to them and they had the solenoid set for my car. The first charges of solenoid set was $845. The price does not included the cost of drop down resistor $68.60, the labor cost, and the fluid cost $29.70. The price of the solenoid was questionable to me. Cut the story short, he ripped off the first bill. The second bill charges was $481.56, take note that is only the solenoid set and does not included the labor cost, the drop down resistor cost and the fluid cost. Well of course, the bill was ripped off again for the second time. Finally without ripping the last invoice, he came up with the price of solenoid set for $385.25 which I believed is the right cost for the solenoid set. The labor cost me a lot too because according to them it was 2.3 hours of labor just for that. I came in there before they open their shop and I got the car in good condition after 2pm…imagined that. Don’t forget to ask the old solenoid set because we never know if a set was all defective or it was just one part of a set.
