AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL experience with this company! We used them in November to do a routine chimney cleaning and repair as we were getting birds in the cap. After their "cleaning" we had a chimney fire two weeks ago. The fire department revealed that the cause of the fire was a build up of soot in the flue and they were shocked to hear that we had it "cleaned" in November. My wife called A1 the next day and the "manager" took our info and told us he would "look into it." Over two weeks went by without a word and I had to seek them out again to discuss the issue. Via a complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau, A1 threatened a lawsuit and claimed the fire was "not their fault." This company lacks professionalism and the respect of their customers.

Everlast A1 came and did the job, but never followed up with the warranty. They uses fast talking contractors who do not work for this company. I am so disappointed that they never return with the warranty or gave any documentation about the job, it was horrendous!!!

We had them do my mother-in-law's chimney liner and cap, we had another quote for nearly twice what A1 Eeverlast did it for. they came out when expected and did a good job. Construction isn't like a restaurant ordering food, so people need to set expectations accordingly. I've dealt with many contractors good and bad, and they did an good job and were honest about the work. I'm going to give them a call to do some work on my own house, so to be continued...

Terrible experience. Needed mason work done in my backyard. Anthony came to measure and take a look so he could give me a quote. I had to follow up several times for a quote. Finally received it and was told work would begin shortly. Rain delayed everything a few days (totally understandable) and then he fell off the face of the Earth. Sent several emails with no response. Called the office, and was told someone would call me back, nobody ever did. Called AGAIN the following day and was told someone would call me back in 2 minutes, nobody ever did. Called AGAIN and the receptionist told me that "Anthony left a message that he is not interested in the job." Seriously?! It amazes me that people like this can stay in business.

Awful experience. Most of the reception staff is VERY rude; especially this guy named "Mike". They do not seem to stand behind their work and they have no concept of customer satisfaction or courtesy. One two separate experiences, they left me hanging.

The first time, they scheduled a work for mon AM - taking my deposit. All of that monday, I hear nothing and certainly no one shows up. I called later on in the day to figure out what the deal is and they say: they rescheduled it. Of course, it would have been nice if they let me know...when I point out that this is pretty discourteous, they get angry at me! This guy Mike starts yelling into the phone about how they'll reschedule it (implicit in his tone -- that these things happen, what's the big deal).

They eventually come to repair some of the stucco - amazingly they DO NOT have the stucco color - and ask me if I had any left over. Fortunately I did, otherwise they would have left it as grey concrete mixture - (there would have been a grey concrete smear "mixed" with the light California stucco in the face of house).

I had to call them back b/c they did not blend the colors well. Of course, it's like pulling teeth to get them to come back; impossible it can't look back they say.....until I send them the picture...and then they agree to come. They schedule for sat AM. Sat comes around, no one shows and no phone calls telling me what happened. I call them again, and I unfortunately get "Mike" again. Who again is very angry - as if I, the customer, is wasting his time by calling him; how dare I call to let them they did not show up again. He says, somebody might come. When I try to pin him down for a more exact time, or offer to change to another date when I can be sure they WILL come..he again gets angry and yells out someone will be there this afternoon.

Over-all very unprofessional. They have no concept of courtesy - they do not seem to take pride in their work. Their "guarantee" of their work is not worth paper its written on. I have no confidence, if something came up inadequate in their work that they will fix it properly.
