Both of my children have go to A Pleasant Day. And yes there are always your ups and downs, but one thing remains perfect and that is the teachers. You can always find childcare centers with the most beautiful equipment, technology, foreign language, enrichment, but finding a truly dedicated and loving staff is a gold mine. I feel safe leaving my children with this wonderful group of women every day. My daughter has learned so much and loves each and every one of the teachers there. The experience that she has day to day is excellent. My son who is just starting there is very well cared for as well and always goes in with a smile for his teachers.

the woman or the teacher there who answered the phone was very rude . she mistaken me for a telemarketer and and was cursing at me i call back multiple times to try and register my children and to find out more about the program and i was repeatedly being screamed at and said i was harassing them when i was just trying to find out information . i really hope this isn't how the staff acts around the children . very disappointing with the service. i pray for the woman who answered the phone she seemed to be having a very rough day !

A Pleasant Day's staff is great. They are like a family and they truly love the kids. I had to move my daughter simply because of distance and I couldn't find another place that felt as warm. The younger programs are truly daycare style, but the 2s and up do have a lot of fun and educational projects.

This place should change their name from "childcare" to "childDONTcare".
I had my son there for a few months, and I regret not pulling him out after the first day. There are so many things wrong with this place that I don't even know where to start. First, the staff (most of it) seems to be randomly picked from the street, and knows very little about early childhood education, and is clearly unqualified to care for little ones. There was one teacher who seemed to have any interest in what was going on there. The rest was not even pretending to be actively involved in what they where supposed to be doing--they were gossiping or sitting down with blank stares in their eyes. One time, I forgot to bring the lunch box and when I came back with it 30min later, my 18month old was alone on the hallway! They didn't even know he was missing until I brought him in. Plus, don't expect your child to make any progress there. The kids were most of the time making a mess rather than being taught or instructed.
Second concern is about meals. The snacks are highly processed and unhealthy-cheez-its mostly, so I provided food. But even though my son was only around 18mths they didn't seem to help him eat, I would pick him up 30 min after lunch, and he would be so hungry that he would pound on the refrigerator's door or look for food in the garbage can.
Lastly, this place is filthy and smells of poop all the time!!! They may mop, vacuum, and wipe tables but it doesn't make much difference. The carpets are nasty! The kids socks are black if they walk without shoes. The playground is even worse. The rubber mulch on the ground is so dirty, that whenever I picked up my son from playing there, his face, hands, and clothes needed to be scrubbed right hard to get them clean. Not to mention that the "teachers" were just sitting there not even caring to wipe hands of the kids. Same in the classroom-no one wiped running noses, and dirty faces, even though it literally takes 5 seconds. Changing room is the worst. It was overflowing with dirty diapers and wipes, and many times, I myself had to flush the toilets.
There is much more that can be said. At the beginning, it looked OK, but now when I think about it makes me feel like a bad parent for not pulling out my son sooner.

I enrolled my son in a toddler classroom in this facility for socialization skills. Teacher seemed great. The teacher's assistant didn't seem to care about the kids or her job. Unfortunately the teachers assistant was in the room every time I dropped off or picked up my son. I wasn't comfortable with the complete lack of attention to kids in distress. Maybe its just me not understanding day care culture. I pulled him out immediately.
