8 Avenue Gift Store

My boyfriend Josh and I were enjoying our day on W40st 8th Avenue, when we spotted a gift store called 8th Avenue Gift Shop store number 618. While Josh and I were just looking at the headphones I decided I wanted to leave. While leaving the store manager came towards us and said put the headphones back. We explained to the store manager that we didnt have the headphones that were on the wall. Josh proceeded to show him that he didnt have the headphones by emptying his pockets, back pockets and opening his back pack. I showed the store manager my bag to prove to him I didnt have these headphones he was accusing us of stealing. As we tried to leave, the store manager put his hand across the door telling us we cant leave and threatening to call the police. When Josh showed he had nothing in his back pockets the store manager was still blocking the door. I believe to this day Josh and I were Racially Profiled! We were the only African American customers in the store.
