3LD Art & Technology Center

Nice little black-box theater designed to supportive technological works. Quirky architecture and interesting programming make it a fun, edgy destination. Seats are comfortable and sight lines are good. It may look far away on the map but it's just a few minutes below Soho on the subway and is in a great little walking neighborhood that includes the new, understandably-controversial Oculus World Trade Center transportation hub.

What an amazing building. It looks like a DNA helix strand walking in. I came to see a show by izzi. Wow, the interactive show where you are part of the art is quite something! I interacted with an AI booth for fun before going to the show. The show itself was something else with the musical instrument Izzi had helped designed with the music and pitch changing as you held it.

Tepid tech heavy "work" usually. Low on humor or fun. used to be cool to go there.

3LD is a creative laboratory for contemporary performing arts, and a resource for one of the world's greatest theatrical capitals, NY. Genius inhabits the fabric of this place.

I like this space. It is a surprise in FiDi to have a performance venue like this. The hallway is odd and dressing rooms are shared among the three spaces, but I enjoyed working here. It truely is a little pop up in the midst of the FiDi onslaught. A few blocks from WTC, it is a venue to check out.
