A very long-time fan sadly disappointed.
I get to 2nd Ave Deli on rare occasions and yesterday was one.
Oy. The mushroom barley soup of blessed memory w served lukewarm
and tasted like it was thickened with flour, not cooked til thickened naturally.
The bread served with it purported to be challah...but it was very thinly sliced and tasted like white bread.
Corned beef was ok....not great.
THE COLE SLAW TASTED SOMETHING LIKE MILD DETERGENT. YUCH.
Cream soda, good as always.
