Dr. Irina Surbnshanyan has been in medical profession since 1977 after graduation from Baku medical school in the former Soviet Union. She then did an extensive research and published papers in the area of immunology and in particular – pulmonary diseases. She completed residency training at one fo the best medical schools in New York – Albert Enstein College of Medicine in 2001. Then she graduated from a Fellowship program in Addiction Psychiatry. After graduation Dr. Surbnshanyan worked as a psychiatrist at hospitals in New York metropolitan area. Dr. Surbnshanyan is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Due to her extensive background in psychiatry she is able to successfully treat patients with a variety of psychiatric conditions. She provides treatment to adult population. Beside English she speaks Russian which helps her treat some of her patients in their native language.
