I went to the Zen Wellness Spa to get my first pedicure for the summer. I am not picky when it comes to pedicures, but the experience was awful. They charged me $28 + tip.
1. They do not have the proper equipment for pedicures
- To soak my feet, they had me place my feet in a rubber bucket with a garbage bag lining and lukewarm water.
- The nail polish dryer was a hand dryer that they squeezed my foot into; my toe subsequently hit the top of the dryer, only to ruin my nail polish on my toe
- They did not have a proper pedicure chair and have their clients sit on a couch. While this is comfortable, I developed a cramp in my leg when my toes were drying because of the positioning of the dryer.
2. Inexperience
- The pedicure took over 1 hour, when it should not have taken more than 30mins (no additional massages, etc that may extend the duration of a pedicure)
- The woman doing the pedicure was slow and not thorough at all (she didnt even remove dry skin from my heels)
All in all the worst $30 ever spent!
