Haven't been back to the Zabb since they won their Michelin star. Service is still lacking, compared to city standards... but guess what? This is Queens! And its authentic food!
For dinner, we shared the:
- Pork larb: delicious and a must try for anybody! A simple pork, lime, and mint "salad". The presentation changed from what it once was. It was on a bed of lettuce but no longer is. Um, we also got a few pieces of liver mixed in with our pork, accidentally! Luckily we eat liver so it really wasnt a problem for us... But Zabb, cmon and get with it!
- Sukiyaki with seafood: very good and the broth was delicious. We didnt realize that this was a noodle SOUP but we really liked it! We thought it would be more saucy than soupy.
- Grilled squid: amazing! We really enjoyed this and the sweet chili sauce it came with.
With every order, the restaurant asks if you would like it spicy or not? Having learned my lesson a couple of years ago, I asked for everything mild with spice on the side. I can take some heat but MILD equates to medium here! So keep that in mind when planning a visit.

Zabb Elee has a nice setup and a decent selection of food. The waitress showed a little bit of attitude when we asked when the soup was coming, but overall the service was decent. We went around 6 o' clock on a Wednesday and the place was pretty empty, but filled up more around 6:30ish. We got 2 orders of shrimp fried rice, 1 order of shrimp rad nah, 1 seafood rad nah, 1 spicy soup, and 1 basil stir fried seafood. The food was okay. Rad nah is soup with noodles and I made the mistake of getting flat noodles. The noodles clumped together, making it difficult to eat. The fried rice was probably the best in my opinion. We also got Thai iced tea which was deliciously sweet and always great.

The authentic Lao and that food in NYC. You must come to Zabb in Jackson heights , queens. Every Lao dish is superb. Num tuk ( Thai noodle soup) is one of my favorite dish. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is ok and I can say the same thing with the service which could improve very much so. I actually go for food.

Little space but good food. The size is bit small though they are cheap. Recommend the next restaurant named"playground" that has amazing spicy thai food. Must try it, just next to Zabb Elee

Delicious, interesting flavors, Thai spicy. In an area with great Thai restaurants like Sriprahpee and Ayoda, Zabb Elee is a stand out. Love this place. My new favorite Thai place.
