Z Medical Care

The staff is wonderful - really helped me with my insurance company. Dr. Zemecki is arrogant and doesn't listen well. He also gave me the wrong diagnosis. I had heart surgery recently and was having a lot of pain in my chest. He told me I had Dressler's syndrome and I should go home and look it up. I asked him for a referral to my cardiologist and he said that if she wanted to see me she could call him. He then gave me a lecture on the managed care system. When I finally got to see my cardiologist, I didn't have Dressler's syndrome.

I have been going to Dr Z since he was working for another clinic- I followed him when he opened his own practice several years ago- He has always taken my calls and seen me under any circumstance and was always professional and polite. He has an outstanding office and staff. I recommend all of my friends to him all the time- Thank You for being there Dr. Z. and thank you for keeping me as a pain in the neck patient !!!

My husband was seen at Z Medical Care by Dr. Zamecki on an emergency basis. He was stung multiple times by a number of bee's. Neither of us knew that he was allergic to bee stings. It was a scary to see him swell up and not be able to talk within a matter of minutes. When we arrived at the office,I was worried about my husband, Dr. Zamecki and his nurse were calm and kept us informed thru out the visit.After the ordeal I realized what time it was, it was close to 7:30 pm. I noticed that the office closes at 6:30pm. I thanked Dr. Zamecki for seeing my husband and staying open. What impressed me was that my husband received a call from the staff two days later to see how he was doing. The front desk receptionist showed genuine concern about my husbands health. I'm so glad that I found this office, its clean, welcoming,the staff is knowledgeable and friendly and most of all state of the art. Thank you Dr. Z for helping my husband. With much gratitude for all that you have done..

I have been a patient of Dr. Zamecki's now for over two years and couldn't be happier. Several years ago I would see him occaisionally when he was part of another practice I used. After he left; I became unhappy with that practice because you were usually seen by a PA rather than a doctor. When I was looking for another practice I discovered Dr. Zamecki had set up his own practice. Although I hadn't seen him in a few years he still remembered me.

Dr. Zamecki is always friendly and professional and his nurse is delightful. His wife and daughter run the front of the office and they are always pleasant and helpful.

My wife and I pay for our own health insurance which is not as comprehensive as most employer provided plans. Dr. Zamecki is aware of this and works very hard to balance our health care needs with our budget.

I have no idea why the previous poster had such a poor experience with Dr. Zamecki but as someone who has been a patient for a number of years I recommend him highly to anyone.

This place is really nice and up-to-date... the staff is very nice as well, especially the receptionists, nurses, and NPs. However, don't go to them if you expect them to help you out with insurance-related things. I went in for a vaccination knowing that my insurance company covered them. Z Medical asked me to pay up front and told me that they would file a claim with my insurance company. As this is standard practice among travel medicine clinics and most don't even offer to file claims, I accepted and paid the $280 up-front. However, I kept callling my insurance company to see if they filed a claim, which they didn't. After the customary waiting period for a claim to be posted by my insurance, I called Z Medical and asked them directly. I was told that the office didn't deal with billing directly and given a phone number for some woman (which went to a messaging service from which I was never called back) and a personal cellphone, which was odd.
Basically this story is just meant to tell you to go here if you don't have insurance but a lot of money. And if you don't, think twice!
