This studio is beautiful, the teachers are lovely, and the classes are generally very good. No showers unfortunately, but otherwise 5 stars for sure.

On the 6th floor of a building, you may have to wait a while for the elevator, but once you get to Yogamaya you quickly feel at home and focused on your practice. They have a shoes off policy at the door, which is always great when a studio enforces for sanitary reasons. Yoga mats are available for rent. The only downside is there are no locker rooms, just changing areas. I went to a beginners class and felt completely relaxed after!

I have been practicing yoga with Bryn and Stacey years before they opened Yogamaya and have learned so much from them. They have created a wonderful studio filled with inspiring teachers who are very experienced and creative. This yoga studio is one of the reasons I love NYC.
