Yamaguchi

David bought a few items for Tamaguchi from us and I just wanted to say he was a pleasure to deal with from the moment the order was placed right through delivery. Even when we had a hiccup with some missing casters he was very positive and professional and I appreciated it. Thanks.

one of the best sushi places outside of manhattan. very nice restaurant and great sushi. haven't really tried the other dishes, but i'm sure they are just as good. usually crowded on the week-ends. the bar is way too small to wait.

This, was the worse sushi I have ever had. They penny pinch everything (ordered a roll, for seaweed out +$0.50 extra). After my wife and I order the food we ended up eating one piece of the sushi each, spit it out, left and went to another restaurant. The food was not edible!!!!! Also the waiter was standing by our table the whole time, less than a foot away. I ended up asking him to give us some room and move away from us.

Mom and Pop at Yamaguchi do a great job of handling massive take out orders and servicing dining customers. Though service can be slow at times but the service itself is very good. The fish is top-notch and I shake my head at folks who don't try their sashimi and nigiri. The place serves chef's special and that's the best to get in my opinion. Cooked food is pretty good as well especially their egg (tamago), might be the best one around. Recommend calling ahead for reservation - weekends. There are better (slighty) places elsewhere in the COUNTRY but you would end up paying more than double.
