WQXR is the most listened to classical music station in the United States. They are always playing great classical music with composers such as Mozart, Bach, Rachmoninoff, Beethoven, Schubert and Phillip Glass. I have been listening to QXR since the station was owned by the NY Times. It has always been an awesome station. The air staff that includes classical radio greats such as the fabulous morning host Jeff Spurgeon, weekend afternoon host Clayelle Dalferes, weekday afternoon host Elliott Forrest, midday host Annie Bergen, evening host Terrence McKnight, weekend morning host Paul Cavalconte and of course the wonderful weekend host of New York at Night, Nimet, are always keeping listeners up to date with constant weather reports, communicating with listeners with questions and comments via email, Facebook and Twitter. I love that I get a Daily Playlist email which tells me the music on WQXR of the day. I am a monthly sustainer and WQXR has been listener supported since 2009. I have gotten many useful thank you gifts in response to the goodness in my heart to help the station stay on the air.
