David Wolkstein was a young, enthusiastic doctor when I required his services. He saved my left hand, enabling me to type and play the piano for the rest of my lifetime. The accident report, from my auto accident on the Garden State Parkway in 1972, before the concrete dividers were installed, indicated that my left wrist was severed from the hand. I remember the day when he removed the bandages, after my husband and I had been in intensive care for one month, and he was so excited that my hand was reconnected and vital.
