Open, relaxing, interesting Park. It has a food fair twice a week and has a few sculptures that make it even more atractive.

A hidden spot with great views of the city. Small, but the piers are cool.

Like many old industrial zones next to all the new real estate development happening up and down Queens' and Brooklyn's East River frontage, this area has been turned into a very nice park. The trees are still too young and few for babies 'n blankets, but the playground and water feature are great. Wasn't too busy on a hot Sunday in late July, but maybe we just got lucky. There's even a long pier to stroll out on and views of the city are an extra bonus. In the summertime, Brooklyn Ice Cream factory has an outlet up near Newtown Creek. It's great.

Amazing views of Manhattan, for free! This park may be small and a little out of the way, but the views make it all the more worthwhile.
Highly recommend a visit.
