This mysterious restaurant is hidden right in front of you, behind a mural of five beautiful ladies. Once you are inside, it is like stepping back in time. The early 1970's. During the dinner there are regular meals like the pork chops, which were well seared. I really like the patty melt served with brown caramelized onions with melted gooey cheddar cheese and a burger cooked your way. You could taste the deliciousness, as you bite down on the crusty grilled bread. YUMMY. They serve classic cocktails like the Rob Roy made with gin and the 355 made with tequila. All cocktails are $12. There is an extensive menu of both cocktails and food. There are heavenly desserts like chocolate mouse and pear crumble. Prices are moderate. The service is excellent. Drinks are strong. And the restaurant/bar is open til 2 a.m.

Mysterious entrance w/ no signage. Look for a cast metal valve door pull on an exotic looking vintage photo mural. The dark seductive interior is the perfect back drop to enjoy classic cocktails and delicious small plates, at surprisingly reasonable price. Love the fried clams. The gorgeous staff is nice and friendly and the crowd is hip and relatively attitude free. Great place to meet a date or to bring friends for a fun night out. Also great for out-of-towners looking for the real NY experience. Will definitely be back!
