The hipster highway. I lived on Clinton St in 1999 and moved across to Havemeyer St in 2001, after 9/11. Spent a lot of time riding bikes back and forth over this bridge.

Much safer for pedestrian than the Brooklyn Bridge, you can feel safe enough to listen to music using your headphone without being afraid to get hit by a bicycle rider. MAKE SURE YOU ARE TAKING TO RIGHT ENTRANCE. It can be confusing where the riders should go and where the riders.
