My experience at John V. Lindsay was extremely phenomenal. I am a High School Graduate from John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy and I must be the first to say that this school was so amazing. I graduated class of 2013. Everyone is so engaged with each other, It begins to give you feeling of being at home. The staff are very caring and gentle. They give you multiple chance to mess up and still manage to encourage you to do better. They have small classrooms which allows about 10-15 students the most. The Principal Mr. Tabano is a one of kind man. Ms. Mitchell is the Front Desk Receptionist, she is a bit crazy and might have her attitudes sometimes, but we're all human. Mr. Green was a good man, May he rest in Peace. Times flies by and its weird how you don't get to say goodbye to the person who helped you through your struggle. Ms. Pat Wong, was the Academic adviser but she didn't really help me. She was supposed to encourage me, she actually did the complete opposite. She told me my art amateur and I would not be able to afford to attend The Art Institute of New York City. I felt so offended, I literally went home and cried. I was so discouraged. Once i graduated, I decided not to go straight to college because she made me feel like I was not ready. Alex is so helpful, you can always go and talk to him. He can teach you many things, He is a very wise person who has a lot to offer. The Science teacher Mr.Brown is my FAVORITE teacher. He has taught me the most. Advanced Biology, Physics, and Chemistry were difficult courses, but Mr.Brown made everything so easy. Everybody loves FRED. he is so mean but so playful at the same time. He call it as he see it. Dr. Peters is the BEST! Whenever you have a problem or a situation, you can always go to her office to sit down and talk. Ms. Wilde, Mr. Keegan, Mr. Petzinger, Dr. Roberts, Mr. Weiss, Ms. Brunesson, Mr. Cowen, Rob and Mr. Phillip are awesome amazing staff. They embrace their students as tight as they can. John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy as a whole has made me the young woman I am today. I am more motivated then I have ever been. Since then, I have worked at Macy's in Manhasset,NY. I then, Had a job at K-mart, I wasn't satisfied so unfortunately, I left. Now, I attend The Art Institutes of New York City. I am a Fashion Design Major. I have also got my permit to drive since then. High School was a big struggle for me and the fact that I did it, gave me that motivation to keep going forward.
