My wife and I visited this afternoon and we couldn't get anyone's attention after waiting 10 minutes standing in front of both counters. Not even a "hello, we'll be right with you". Seemed strange so we left. It's a cool looking store and you get to see the equipment behind the glass.

Widow Jane made it's way into my top 10! I never hesitate to offer a pour to anyone who has never drank much bourbon. I live in Washington State it's rare to get a bottle out here. I could only dream for a Cask/Barrel strength version. Thank you from a loyal friend, from the other side.

It's not close to the subway, but it's worth the visit - you can get there by bus using your MetroCard or coins.
They produce a nice (and strong, in my opinion) whisky and they have an amazing tasting room open to the public. Get a nice whisky bottle as a gift for someone or to enjoy at home!

Why go to another state to visit a distillery?
Widow Jane produces great whisky and interesting variations of its own brand, and the place itself is a treat. Buy a bottle there and have the pleasure to fill an empty bottle right from the barrel.
Besides, once in a while they might host an amazing party with open bar and food. Inside a beautiful distillery. For free. Yes :)
