White Street

AMAZING place, great food, awesome staff!

Went there for "The Labrynth" movie screening and dinner. The screening was a nice idea and we enjoyed the movie. It included a $30 prix fixe dinner. I wasnt expecting much from the menu but having read previous reviews on Yelp I figured it would be decent enough. I was wrong - the food was pretty bad. The risotto balls and tomato sauce were not good, the pasta (if I remember correctly) were to have shrimp....well it had the "essence" of shrimp in that it smelled like shrimp but I didn't spot any actual shrimp in the dish. The shepherds pie tasted like a microwaveable TV dinner. The makeshift bar set up was kind of silly where you had to leave your card at the bar because there was no credit card machine to process (they had to run over to the other venue to process the cards) and eventually they would return it to you. The bartender had no change. They were pushing an all the wine you can drink $35 deal. I just wanted one glass - at $14 plus tax for a glass of their City Winery wine that was so so - I could've stuck with water. Not sure what the other venues at the winery are like, the music I heard from the adjacent venue sounded good but I won't be coming back for the food.

This was our third visit to White Street. Each experience thus far has been superb, highlighted by incredibly delicious food, a beautiful ambience, and excellent service. As suggested by our delightful and personable server, we ordered the zucchini chips with garlic aioli sauce, which was a memorable and savory experience in and of itself. We ended up ordering a lot of food, but thankfully each dish was equally delicious. The restaurant is pristine, the staff friendly and charming, and the food satisfying and memorable. Can't wait to return to this wonderful dining establishment.

Very uptight atmosphere and while they offer some interesting flavour combinations it lacks on execution

Pretty restaurant, good food, nice ambience. I was just expecting a little more "happening" on a saturday night, but overall a great experience
