I went in to the butcher looking for steak. I did not know what kind of steak I wanted - just a steak. The butcher, Danny, walked me through each cut of meat and did not try to oversell me. I walked out of there with 2 ribeyes that were so delicous. They were not overpriced and they cooked perfectly on the grill. We have also tried the crab cakes, the grilled vegetables, and the bowtie pasta salad. Anything that this butcher puts out is delicous!! It is so nice to have a butcher in the West End of Long Beach again! The chicken and steak skewers are really good also!
The partners are Danny and Danny. The white haired Danny is the butcher and has so much knowledge. While he is cutting the meat, the other Danny keeps the conversation light. There is a real feel of family when you go in there. Sometimes the younger Dannys pregnant wife is on the register and she is very friendly also. My family loves this place!
