West Mill Gardens

I recently rented from West Mill Gardens. I did not enjoy my stay in the apartments. After my one year lease was over I moved out. There were centipedes all over the apartment during all seasons. In the winter time, the walkways & pathways leading to the apartments & the parking lots were always icy, full of snow & lack of salt applied to the ground. The walls are very thin in the apartments so you can hear your neighbor's conversation whether you are above or below someone. I was on the first floor, so I heard every footstep, cough, laugh, and squeak of my neighbor's floor above my head. The noise level was definitely not worth the amount of money my husband & I were paying in rent. The apartments are large. You will definitely have ample space & plenty of parking but you will also hear your neighbors a lot and be prepared for slipping and sliding on ice in the winter.

My Name is Ken Stele I would like to to tell you about my experiences with the West Mill Staff ,after living here over 42 years I think that I know how things have improved! First of all the office staff under Heather is very responsive to my need when I call,The Maintenance staff is very quick to respond as well as getting the work done properly. and I appreciate their hands are not out for a gratuity when the job is done which is very refreshing .

For the area, it is reasonably priced. The apartments themselves always require maintenance. That said, the maintenance guys are incredibly friendly and easy to deal with. The office people, however, are hit or miss. Some very nice and some rude and miserable.

I have only lived here for not quite a year. It is great that my dog is welcome here. My apartment has 5 rooms, spacious with lots of closets. The stairs up to the second floor seem steep and the landing is small. There no fire escape ladders for the second floor. Most residents are friendly and I like the diversity of people. There have been four snow and ice storms. The roadways and the parking lots were plowed, but only half of the apartment units had the sidewalks cleared today.

This is a terrible place! a rip-off!!
The laundry rooms are very dirty,
The quality of the finishing is poor.
it's very expensive comparative to other same-size apartments in nearby locations.
we currently rented double the size of this apartment, for 500$ less, 3 miles away.
it's far away from everything.. we never realized that until we moved.
it's very noisy for the apartments closer to the street, they provide 1 AC, so you can't sleep with the heat, can't sleep with the windows open... it was terrible.
getting into this place is one thing, trying to leave is another.. they try to do everything to take your security deposit,, they made us pay 700$ just to have the right to break the lease before the year ends! on top of that they still requested a 2 months notice.. to top it all,, although they renovated the place after we left they still charged us 150$ out of our deposit for CLEANING!!!! for an apartment that is being renovated ? when we tried contacting them,,, they hung up in our face,,, we emailed them and they never replied..
