- Terrible #18045
The courteous lobby staff and the comparatively lower rental prices are the only two highlights of this building, which is perennially under the control of terrible management. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

From April to September each year, residents are not allowed to use their balconies or terraces about 90% of the time due to construction on the exterior of the building. Why the construction? When are the start and end dates of the construction? Residents are told next to nothing, and the lobby staff are completely shut out. The rumor—yes, we only have rumors—is that in order to power wash the windows each year, construction workers have to be hired to make sure that the mortar between the bricks in the façade of the building is structurally sound. But that's absurd! If it takes months each year to examine the entire exterior of the building for gaps in cement, wouldn't it be cheaper and more time-efficient to wash the windows with regular wipes?

The building's water is routinely shut off for maintenance, and we residents are lucky if we're given a full day's notice. The same thing happens with the garbage chute; twenty-four hours' notice is the maximum we're given prior to maintenance.

The elevators are being renovated, which means that one of the three elevators in each tower is taken out of use for three months at a time. But what often happens is that one or even both of the remaining elevators randomly stop working for a day or two, forcing residents in wheelchairs and the elderly to be unable to enter or leave the building. This may very well be in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, quite frankly.

It is difficult to sleep at night from November through March because the building's pipes make a persistent thumping sound all night long that is audible in most of the apartments. And from April through September, when the façade is being maintained, the (loud) sounds of drilling and hammering can usually be heard through the walls and ceilings from 9 AM to 5 PM. As the building technically has hardwood floors, residents are out of luck if they live right under a family with kids; I myself hear the sounds of heavy objects being dropped or rolled across the floor from 6 AM to midnight most days each week.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING!!

Lived here for 3 years. It was a great starter when we moved into the city. it was quiet and peaceful. Over the past 3 yrs with the construction of Ashley, Avery & Rushmore the place has become too loud with too many people and rude motorists.
It still is a decent starting place and the rents are pretty low. The door men Tony, Steve and other folks are pretty nice guys. there are a few newer folks that are pretty rude.

We moved out recently and are still looking for a new area to stay but we've had some great memories here.
Summers are fun to be out by the Pier and great place for pets.
