I visited a few different places before enrolling my son at WMAA. Although the place is small in its location, it has much to offer in its dedicated owner and staff. I saw great value in the way the classes are conducted and the kids motivated to keep trying and striving. I would almost not want to tell anyone about this place just to keep it as it is, but I know that good news must be told. I highly recommend this MMA school to anyone looking for a program that is an alternative to just one style of Martial Arts for their children.
I can say that just after the second class I began to see a change in my son's confidence level. He even used one of the techniques he learned to get himself out of a bully situation.
Okay, let me put it this way, the PROs are:
Good ratial of at least two instructors in every class.
Good organization and none stop classes at least 45 minutes long.
Great scheduling options. Kids can attend four or more times a week as parents schedule will allow.
Easy to get to by High way or local routes.
The instructors are active in competitive matches to teach from experience.
Good communication always between the staff, students and parents.
Oh, price yes, at least $20. lower than most other places and with flexible terms of payment.
Well stacked with the tools needed for class.
Good parking available nearby.
The cons: Well, not too many. But here are a few.
The place is very small and can get pretty crowded and hard to enter and exit out of. The classes are by contract commitment.
I highly recommend this MMA school.

aside from the actual curriculum (filippino martial arts, muy thai, jkd, and bjj), which is really good, what I like most is being surrounded by like minded folks who push each other to excellence in all aspects of life: family, fitness, career, and of course martial arts.
I'm trained in other martial arts (tkd, capoeira, oyama, etc..), and by far the best mix of martial arts material i've trained.

Our whole family trains with WMAA!! I love getting going on my HUMP-days and TGIFdays w/ some kickass kickboxing!! and then back at it again for MMA for our son. My husband has a punch card too for kickboxing and we are anxiously awaiting our daughter to become 'of age' so she can tackle her belts as her brother has done!!

There can be only ONE!!! And that one place is WMAA. Chuck and Kara are two of the best martial arts instructors in New York. They have a deep passion for teaching and sharing with all those they come in contact with. The kids program is AWESOME!!! Kids from the academy continue to place in many of the major grappling tournaments around the tri-state area. If you want to learn real world self defense tactics or your just looking for a kick ass workout then head over to WMAA. When you get there tell them Haas sent ya....

Kickboxing helps not only with my physical health but my mental health with my self-confidence and motivation. The instructors at WMAA are great! They definitely help you reach your goal and motivate you without pushing too hard. The class is intense and high energy but caters to everyone of all fitness levels and it is more fun than going to gym and working out by yourself. It's exactly what I like and needed because just when you fell you can't go anymore, there's someone there assuring you don't give up.
