People lament that New York City is "over", but II feel that as long as you can roll out of bed on a Tuesday morning, take an express train to Harlem and experience an intimate live performance by internationally renowned world class musicians, the spirit of the city is alive and well with a vigorous heartbeat; Thank you "Welcome to Harlem" for the Harlem Afternoon Jazz Series at Randall Memorial Church on 137th Street, Tuesdays noon to 2.

I attended the Harlem Jazz series featuring the Ronnie Burrage Trio at the Rendall Memorial Presbyterian Church on March 10th. The skills of the performers and the joy they expressed was infectious to my delight and the other members of the audience. I look forward and highly recommend attending the future jazz performances in this series.
