Weave Shop

I been coming here to the hillside shop for the past 7 months..all the stylist ibhad were greay..no compliants..just habe to jave patients on the weekends cauae its a first come ,first serve basis.other than that..great group of ladies..

Experience was pretty painful. I should also mention that I'm tenderheaded. This was my first time getting a sew-in. I asked the braider not to braid too tight; she stated that she wouldn't but by the time she was done braiding I couldn't put my head down because it was so tight. The sew-in lady loosened the braids a bit with oil and I thought I would be okay; but when the sew-in lady was done sewing in the hair....OH...MY...GOODNESS...pain is not the word.

I really didn't want to go back to the shop. I have a friend who told me that there's a trick to loosening it and she's going to do it for me tonight. I'm not TOTALLY blaming the Weave Shop but they seriously need to NOT BRAID OR SEW SO TIGHT. The cut and style was okay but I will NEVER get another sew-in ever again in life.

JUST ADDED: Had to come back and say that after I had other people examine my sew-in, it was not a job well done. I guess I shouldn't have expected much for the price. It wasn't worth the pain and there's actually too much hair at the front of my face and it's driving me nuts. I'll be taking this hair out soon

Ever since they shut down the Bloomfield location, it's just an awful experience. They don't have enough stylists to support their clients so you end up waiting 3-5 hours on walk-in days. The owners seem to care only about the $$$, and not much else. The Hillside location is in a poor neighborhood, where I'm sure the rent is much cheaper. It's too bad: back when Jennifer from Basketball Wives was actually popular, this place had a good thing going on. Not sure who would endorse it now.

I came to the weave spot and they say come by appt. only during the week. I started coming to the Bloomfield one and they never told me appt.. only on a week day!! I am a faithful customer never told I had to have an appointment unprofessional.

I had a wonderful experience at the Weave shop it is about a month ago since I had my hair done by a very pleasant and professional young lady, Nikena and my hair is still looking like I just got it done. Nikena took time to do my weave and I got a lot of complement, she didn't rush through to slap my hair up even though I walked it because it was my first time doing my hair at this shop. I went several places and had terrible experiences but I'm glad I found a place that I will always look forward to have my hair done. I will recommend anyone who would like to have a good weave done to this shop. All the staff are so friendly and professional. Nikena I hope you read this review, you are this best you took time with me like you would with your MOM.
