Reviews to Waterview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
I wrote a review and or comment in May of 13. I would like to up date that to the present time June 2014. The workers and staff are by far the best group of dedicated, professional and friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I wrote the last review, my best friends were doubt and hopelessness. The pass and liberty problems that I thought I had have been resolved. I'm on the path of true independence, and even met the love of my life here. I'm using this home as a base for the search for permanent housing, for my leap into the real world. I've even been elected to the Resident Council as Secretary. And have to give credit to those around me, who kept me going through a very rough time in my life. They may have many faults, rules and regulations that are not pleasing, but the end result is in your best interest. My journey is coming to an end, as I am working on my future, and owe a great deal of thanks to all! Of you at Waterview. In truth I'm loving it still here Danny.

I've been here 10 months and can truthfully say; the people that work here are for the best part dedicated and hard working. It is the management and their unjust regulations, that are the downfall of this facility. After you are told that you are doing very well, the catch 22 is put into effect. I can not go out without a personal Aide, which I have none because I'm no longer on HOSPICE care. I can not go to the VA medical facility located in NYC. I would of been taken there by Access a Ride but was told to cancel the trip and the appointment I had. Others are allowed out to get newspapers and coffee, Why not me? I'm being forced to report a problem this way. And they leave me with no choice but to sign out, something I do not want to do.

- Terrible #69254
If there is one open bed in a NY nursing home, there's a reason. If there are 20 open beds, than you know something's wrong. A horrible place to visit so I can only imagine how horrible it would be to be confined there. The staff lies to its detainees and their visitors and acts above the law. Beware of this place.
