Love this place! Best bang for your buck seafood place close to Manhattan. Portions are huge and the price is maybe half what you'd play in Manhattan. The interior reminds me of Apple Bee's with all the neat antique items on the wall, there is even a lot of boxing memorabilia as the owner was a boxing fan. Make sure you load up on FREE peanuts from the bathtub near the bar.
As for the food, you can get steaks in addition to seafood. I've tried the Love Boat which is 1lb lobster, scallops, shrimp and crab cake for $33, the 24oz Prime Rib with frizzled onions on au jus ($26) and the NE clam chowder $3 a cup! Most entrees come with a side and a salad. In the end you'll likely have leftovers.

I cant believe there is something like this in a random place in LIC next to the railroad tracks. Unfortunately the name is misnomer, it is NOT waterfront.
The decor is very old fashion America, lots of vintage signs and posters. The portions are HUGE (like your average steak house HUGE). I saw the porterhouse from another table and it could feed a family; that is not a single person entree.
Was quite pleasantly surprised on how good the steak and and lobster was. Steak was soft and juicy and extra crispy on the outside. Lobster was a bit dry but still good.

I have been eating at the WCH for more years than I want to admit. The food has always been good and whether I have gone with my wife or with a group of friends, the service has been better than adequate. The selection of food goes beyond seafood and I have gone here just for the steak or chops.
As I read some of the other reviews, I have come to the conclusion that most people are just idiots and that reflects back on how they are treated. If you act like an ass, please expect to be treated as such.
I bet if you give this place a shot, you will not be disappointed.

So many memories at this place and the food is comfort-nomenal!
My faves dishes are:
- Fried calamari
- The Best (and maybe biggest) Burger on the East Coast
- The Pecan Tart + Ice Cream (although I think they retired this one :-(
- The self-service bathtub full of peanuts
This place is an historical icon with many local and well-known celebs having put their John Hancock on local memorabilia. It's my fave stop when showing out-of-towners a glimpse of the real NYC.
