If you consider the musicians featured at the Blue Note or it's place in jazz history, it's a six-star experience. I've been here twice, and the music was awesome.
If you consider the Blue Note from the standpoint of comfort, food and service, this is a two-star (and maybe even 1.5 stars). The place is ridiculously crowded and tight, and it makes me wonder if the FDNY ever sets foot in the place or the city even bothers to consider maximum capacity. With tables and chairs packed in at maximum density, there is no room to breathe or move, you almost always have to ask someone to move so you can get to a restroom, and worst of all, you might be seated somewhere with your back or shoulder to the stage and no ability to twist around to see the show. It's really f'n ridiculous, and it makes it very hard to recommend seeing a show here.

RUN, don't walk to this water hole. Though its mere blocks from the famed brandy library up the street, you'll find an arguably more impressive American antique collection of bourbon here along with all the staples of fine scotch and Irish whiskey. I'm amazed the selection and prices are decent to boot

Bootlegger burger with New York cheese, apple wood smoked bacon and over easy egg, to top it all off whiskey ketchup. We were torn between how much we liked this burger, most gave it 6-7 out of 10. They also have a huge beer selection.

These guys know how to make cocktails! One thing I like about the menu is the custom made pages, select your tastes and they make it different each time. Not overly crowded except for the peak Fri Sat nights. Sometimes the place is booked out for parties too, so best plan ahead!

Very cool spot for a cocktail in TriBeCa. Hand crafted with about a million (or so it seemed) types of booze and the craft masters know what they are doing. I had a Buffalo Trace sazerac which was fantastic!!!
Curry popcorn for $3 was very useful to soak up some of the bourbon.
Space is dark and sexy. Good late night spot.
