My experience was great!
Needed a battery changed and a link added to 2 of my watches. It took 20 min (with a solid conversations about life) and I was out the door.
No complaints. He has a rustic shop.. a must go see.

I have worked with Walter on my watch collection for about fifteen years.
Wonderful craftsman and a wonderful teacher in the antique watch trade.
I have put several friends in touch with Walter and they are very pleased with his work, both on watches and clock.
It is not easy to find a craftsman with his skill in NYC that will explain what is going on with your watch or clock and will give you options in how to proceed with repairs.
I am very happy to have Walter as my watchmaker.

I was hesitant before going to Walter after reading the mixed reviews. The problem with my clock was that the cuckoo wasn’t working, apart from that it was working fine. He told me he would fix it within a week. After 4 weeks, Walter let me know that he cannot fix it and I should pick up the clock with no charge.
The clock now is scratched at the front and on the side and is not working any longer. Walter told us that it must have fallen down at some point before I brought it to him. You can still make your own decision if you want to go to him, but I wish I had listened to my gut feel, my clock would still work and would not be scratched.

Walter is great. He changed the battery, cleaned my watch and put a new gasket in the watch, while I was waiting, and charged me $15. I offer him $20 and he said that was too much.

Excelent service. Professional repair of very complecated watch. The prices are very good.Very nice person. Recommend!!! A++++++++
