I've been divorced for 6 years now my good the day is long at the school for the children get used to it and this day is not spent doing all academics they do provide the children with fun things to do in music which most schools do not even have they have art class and they have gym they get the activity that they need the children that you need extra help receive it through intervention tutoring in the summers and possibly tutoring on Saturdays if they want it they do not have after school tutoring because the day is so long their teachers are very accessible they will arrange meetings with you to talk about your children's progress in order for you to be a proactive parent I think it's important that you talk to the teachers and not just expect things to fall into your lap and I am one of those parents so my experience has been very good my child has had issues with grade but they're very helpful and I'm happy that they're helpful because some schools might just throw my child at her own discretion and not help out in the way that she needs I'm happy that the school provides many cultural diverse activities for the children and trips and the school is very culturally diverse which are very pleased with the school also knows when teachers don't work and they get rid of them they don't stick around being useless to the children this is a very good thing which is does not happen in many public schools granted every school is not for every child but this school is definitely worth giving your child giving your child the opportunity that it needs to grow for middle school and being prepared

My son is in kindergarten at VOICE and he has had a wonderful experience so far. He loves the music curriculum (he asked Santa to bring him his own keyboard!) and he is always singing his choral songs around the house. He has made wonderful strides in reading and writing, and when his initial math scores were below grade level, his teacher and teaching assistant worked hard with him to help him understand the concepts and were proactive in helping me understand how I could help him at home. The class has also been on a number of field trips this year, from the Bronx Zoo to Alley Pond Conservation Center to the Metropolitan Museum, and I'm very happy wth how this is helping to reinforce my son's natural curiosity and excitement about the world. I was thrilled when I first learned that my son had been offered a spot at VOICE, and they have not let me down.
