My 12 year old son had an annual visit with Dr. Braier. Unfortunately last minute my husband and I are unable to attend. His aunt takes him on the visit and the doctor calls to reprimand me about one of his parents not being available for the visit. I said that's fine, we can reschedule because we were unable to attend and it's understandable it's hard to get a clear medical history of the child. While my son is in her office with his aunt I am receiving text messages from my son about how rude the doctor is to him, she has no manners and he can hear her outside the office badmouthing us to the staff. She never tells my son or his aunt goodbye and mutters under her breath about how ridiculous this is. My son already has anxiety about his doctors visit this just brought it to a new high, he's a little boy and this is considered a very personal experience. He does not feel comfortable with her attending him and feels she doesn't care about the true state of his health. I called and asked to speak to her and she hasn't returned my calls. Completely unacceptable, I see why everyone only wants to see McGowan. Dr. Braier needs to try and locate her bedside manner she seems to have misplaced it. It's probably laying next to wherever she left her professionalism and humanity.

This practice is a mixed bag. I LOVE Dr. McGowan however I'm not fond of the other two doctors. That being said, it's pretty tough to only come to a practice for ONE doctor. The office also has a lot of malfunctions which brings it to a 2.5/3 star rating. It takes weeks to accomplish a simple task of getting a list of vaccines or anything sent to you. Expect at least a week & lots of follow-ups with office workers/receptionists/nurses who can't seem to do things right the 1st time to receive anything you need. Also others have mentioned wait times can be very long. Over an hour some times to actually see the doctor. A lot of lag time in the actual patient rooms too.

I have been with Village Pediatrics since 2009. Dr Braire is our primary and she has always provided optimum care for both my children. She helped with my breast feeding issues (lactation specialist) and has given me prominent specialist referrals. I recommend all my friends and family here. Bonus is there's always free parking!

Do not go there.
I was horrified that the doctor cared so little that she never checked to make sure she gave me the correct prescription after I came specifically to pick up that prescription.
It wasn't an office failure, the doctor wrote the prescription wrong.
