Excellent material.
Don't understand what people mean, when they explicitly state they don't offer planting services.

They are expensive. Their tree service is very rude, and try to finsih the job quickly and be gone. Come on guys at Victoria. You planted 3 of my trees, All of them died! I spent 850 for just planting the tree paid over 900 for the trees. So 1750 wasted. Most importantly, My family is sad for the life of those trees. My 4 year old boy cried a lot after the trees died! I am very unhappy with your service provided here at Victorias Nursery in Paramus. Very unhappy!

I have been going to Victoria's for many years and love it. It is one of the last wonderful garden nurseries around and I really hope it stays. There is a review on here about service... This one I don't get. I have personally gotten to know a lot of the people that work here including Jeff, the owner and all are terrific. As for the prices, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap and usual, go to Home Depot. If you want really high quality, interesting plants from people that know what they are talking about, go to Victorias.

I was looking for shrubs for a garden design I was creating for a neighbor. They had many female winterberry hollies, but no males. When I inquired about the male, which is needed for pollination so the females produce berries, I was told, "You don't need that around here, because of the type of soil we have." Really?! Why say something completely stupid and wrong, rather than just saying, "I don't know?" It has nothing to do with the type of soil. Wouldn't go back there again. Also, huge and impersonal--not the type of place I like to shop.

I purchased three 6" caliper October glory maple trees in late October 2013. in spring of 2014 two of the trees failed to bloom and one sparsely bloomed. The landscaper spoke to Jeff, the owner of Victoria nursery, and was told someone from the nursery had to see the trees before he could consider replacing them. After two months went by I went to see Jeff, showed him 6 color photos of the dead trees and he told me the same thing, "that he had to see the trees". After waiting 2 more weeks, now 3 months past the first complaint, and hearing nothing but "I have to see the trees", I sent him a letter wherein I advised that he had 2 weeks in which to see the trees, after which I would have the trees removed, and have 2 new trees planted and would then sue for the money spent in replacing the trees. One week later 2 Victoria employees came to see the dead trees and tried to intimate that the trees were planted wrong which is why they died. However one hour later the nursery called my landscaper to advise him that he can have 2 new trees from the stock they had. Eventually I did receive 2 new 3" caliper trees, as replacement for my 6" caliper trees I had originally paid for. Most reputable nurseries provide a 1 year warrantee against defective products. Victoria Nursery is NOT a reputable nursery because they do not readily stand behind their product and if you do purchase anything there be sure to get a WRITTEN guarantee and for a specific time frame, because if you do have a bad product you will go thru hell trying to get it resolved.
