Good family owned-operated establishment. The food is quality french without the intimidation.

Verjus is simply a gem. Honestly one of my favorite dining experiences. The food, ambience and service were truly exceptional. From amuse bouche to a decadent profiterole dessert, we were tastefully surprised by the quality of ingredients and excellent ingenuity by the chef. The escargot was divine and I woke up thinking about how to recreate the twice baked potatoes served with the steak au poive. Two thumbs up and we will happily visit again soon!

Review for dinner on Saturday 3/23/13:
Overall: Excellent. Partner and I went to dinner for 8:15 reservation we were seated within 5 mins. To start we each had a salad (mesclun; frisee with blue cheese, beets and walnuts). I had the halibut wrapped in ham and Napa cabbage, it was perfectly cooked, but would've been just as good without the ham and napa. My better half had the hangar steak medium -- and she said it was AWESOME. For dessert, the profiteroles lived up to their billing and the fresh strawberry and blueberry crisp with creme fraiche ice cream didn't disappoint either. It was our first time to Verjus and certainly won't be our last. No pretense just excellent food in a comfortable atmosphere.

What can I say... if I died and went to heaven, they would be serving Verjus all day and night. Favorite restaurant. Period. Family owned business, everyone is chatty and personable, right down to the waiters (some of whom are part of the family). Service is prompt and attentive. Everything is held to the highest, most impeccable standard. I've been here at least 10 times (I'm not made of money) and have yet to be disappointed. Every time I go out, if it's not Verjus, I'm missing out. Want to know more? The menu includes some classic French-inspired favorites but has a rotating selection of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Everything may come off the shelf, including white truffles. If you want your favorite dish and it's not listed, the chef just may have it in back. A cozy place that tends to fill up on weekends, so go on a weeknight to enjoy a truly personal and fabulous experience. I've never gone wrong with an appetizer or entree, and as for dessert? Perfection in every selection. I'm not exaggerating in this review.
